Deaf Camp and American Sign Language Camp

For ages 7-19; July 22-27, 2018 at Manidokan Camp and Retreat Center   $465

Deaf Camp  – Younger: Entering grades 2-6
Deaf Camp – Middle: Entering grades 6-9
American Sign Language Camp  – Younger: Entering grades 2-6
American Sign Language Camp – Middle: Entering grades 6-9
Deaf/ASL Camp – Older: Entering grades 9-12

Campers will participate in swimming, hiking, arts and crafts, and more, and learn about God’s love through daily religious education lessons and chapel. (Alternate activities provided upon family request.) Some grade levels overlap so parents may choose which level is best for their camper.

Deaf Camp is designed for Deaf and hard-of-hearing campers who communicate primarily in American Sign Language.

American Sign Language Camp features ASL immersion opportunities for signers at any level, from beginners to fluent signers.

The Deaf & ASL Camps share many activities throughout the day, including all meals and evening programs. Deaf and hearing campers in the Older Deaf/ASL Camp will share lodging and all daily activities.

Young Adult Deaf Camp

For ages 18 and up; June 17-22, 2018 at West River Camping Center     $470

The West River YAD program brings together a fantastic community of deaf persons and Support Service Providers from around Maryland. A unique faith-based curriculum stands as the central focus to the week, while field trips and other camp activities make for a fantastic overall experience.
